Brick & Book Vault ("we", "us") is a used-goods retailer based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. By placing an order or creating an account on this site, you agree to these terms.
The products
- Most items are used or pre-owned. Each listing describes the item's condition; please read it before buying.
- For LEGO sets, the catalogue photo may be a stock image until we've taken a photo of the actual item. Condition notes always describe the real item.
- Inventory is mostly one-of-a-kind. An item can sell out in the time between adding it to your cart and reaching checkout.
Prices and payment
- All prices are in Canadian dollars and include GST (5% in Alberta). Prices can change without notice.
- Payment is by card (processed by Stripe) or Interac e-Transfer matched to your order manually.
- If a listing has an obvious pricing or description error, we may cancel the affected order and refund you in full, even after it's placed.
Orders
Your order is an offer to buy. It's accepted when we send your confirmation. We may refuse or cancel an order — for example on a stock or pricing error, or suspected fraud — and refund you in full.
Shipping, returns, and refunds
Fulfilment options and timelines are in our Shipping & Pickup policy. Returns and refunds are covered by our Return & Refund policy. Both form part of these terms.
Rewards points
Points have no cash value, can't be transferred, and are earned and redeemed according to the program rules shown on the site. We may change or end the program at any time; points already earned stay usable for a reasonable wind-down period.
Items sold on Amazon
Products labelled “Buy on Amazon” are sold and shipped by Amazon under Amazon's terms and return policy. These terms cover only orders placed through this site's checkout.
Accounts
You're responsible for keeping your account password secure and for activity under your account. Tell us right away if you think it's been used without your permission.
Trademarks
LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO Group, which does not sponsor, authorize, or endorse this site. Other product names and brands are the property of their respective owners.
Liability
We sell used goods as described and stand behind that description. To the extent Alberta law allows, our liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Alberta's Consumer Protection Act.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada.
Changes
We may update these terms; the “last updated” date above shows when. The terms in effect when you place an order are the ones that apply to it.
